News
It's back to (online) school today for all our students, I hope it's not too stressful for you all! We will also be running some online lessons from 4pm today. All the times and links have been sent via email but if you need the details just get in touch! The focus for these lessons will be to get ready for our next online grading which is scheduled for February. We also have a Dan grade class for those who are preparing for their black belt/second Dan.
Back to our online classes? Fantastic seeing everyone this morning for our first class of 2021. Our next sessions will be Saturday morning, I have emailed out all the details, just DM if you need them.
We have just sent a new email our about our online classes, I will be putting a plan in place for our new timetable and I am looking for feedback for class times. Please comment below or email me back, what suits you best daytime or evening classes? In class we have been using inflatable punch bags both indoors and outdoors, these deflate to quite a small size and are easy to store. If anyone is looking to purchase these I got them from decathlon and they cost £40, there is also an adult version which is a little more expensive but they have been great in classes and perfect for home training!
Closure update
Hi All
It’s a very unusual time for all of us and in line with government advice Craigholme is now closed to all lets from yesterday for the foreseeable future, therefore all classes have now stopped.
I will be working from home to get different things online to keep everyone busy and still doing some form of taekwondo at home. We may even try to find a way to grade remotely as well.
During the time we are closed where possible and if you are able to continue to support the club this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to those who have been in touch to let us know that payments will continue. I completely understand and support that this will not be possible for everyone. Please get in touch to freeze membership if needed, you can contact me via direct messenger here or via our email info@titantkd.com. Everyone will be issued credit to the amount that has been paid from the 18th March onwards. Once we return to classes you will be able to use this against future training fees, gradings, licences or stock.
We will continually review and update everyone, please check online at our webpage and social media channels.
We cant wait to get back to normal and see everyone again, stay safe!

McMillan coffee morning

We will be running our Macmillan coffee morning again on the 21st September everyone is welcome to pop down and enjoy some sweet treats! Along with cake there will also be a few competitions including the Great Titan Bake off! All you need to do to enter is bake a cake! Easy! There is no theme so get creative! I am also (genuinely) looking for judges for the bake off competition so if any adult wants to help out with this difficult job please let me know!
This year during the coffee morning instead of normal classes we will also be having a TKD games day. We will be having themes for the different classes so if you want to dress up as your favourite super hero or Olympian feel free! (if you want to wear your TKD uniform as usual that’s absolutely fine as well)
Beginners Class – Super hero theme
Intermediate and advanced class – Olympic theme
Please note there will be no sparring class on this day.
Extra grading practice
There is an opportunity for our green belts in our beginners class to do some extra grading practice before sitting their blue tags and moving up to the advanced group. Students are welcome to stay after their regular lesson for 15-20 mins to work with an instructor on specific grading requirements.
This opportunity is also open to our advanced class who are looking to attain their black belt, just stay behind after class.
Sparring class
Our sparring class runs from 12.15 – 1.15 after the advanced class on a Saturday and is open to all students. Why not pop down and give the class a try?!
August Newsletter
Cancelled classes

Upcoming gradings
The August grading will be held on the 10th August and the September grading will be held on Saturday the 28th September. Both gradings will start at 12.15. The cost is £30 per person and all details can be found at www.titantkd.com

Mac Millan Coffee Morning
We will be having another coffee morning on Saturday the 21st of September, we managed to raise £260 last year so lets see if we can top that total! We will have loads of cake (of course) to tuck into so feel free to invite friends and family along!
