Cancelled class

There will be no classes on Saturday the 20^th of October as the facility is unavailable, students are welcome to drop in to our mid week classes to make up for the missed class. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

 

McMillan coffee morning

Thank you to everyone who supported our MacMillan coffee morning we managed to raise £264.50

Team Titan at the GTA 1-2-1

Well done to Saif who took part in the GTA 1-2-1, this time it was held by RAW Taekwondo in Cumbernauld!

Sparring class

There is now a team training class on Saturdays at 12.15pm after regular classes. This is open to green tags and up and all adults. If you are already on a full membership there is no extra charge for this class, if you pay for one class a week your payment will go from £22 a month to £30 a month.

There is no sparring class on the last Saturday of every month as this is reserved for our monthly gradings.

Adults classes

We have adults classes at Titan TKD so while your kids are training why not join in and give TKD a go! For the month of October parents can try TKD for free, go on you know you want to!

Bring a friend

Remember we are still running our bring a friend promotion! If you introduce a friend to TKD and they sign up you get one month for free!

Change of payment system

As Titan taekwondo continues to grow we are now using a company called Ashborne who will collect payments via direct debit rather than standing order and also help with the communication and management of classes. I will be asking people to change over payments from standing orders to the new direct debit system, please continue to pay for classes as normal until I speak to you in class to explain the process. The cost of the classes are not going to change.

McMillan coffee morning

Last year we ran a coffee morning and we raised £250 for the charity. It was such great fun we have decided to run another one this year on Saturday the 22^nd of September. Feel free to pop down and enjoy some TKD and cake!

Shawlands Academy Festival of sport 

Titan Taekwondo will be attending the Shawlands Academy festival of sport on Saturday the 15^th of September. We are looking for advanced students who will be willing to help out at the event with demonstrations. If you can help with this please let your instructor know. Please note all classes will also be running as normal.

 

Team Titan at the GTA 1-2-1

Well done to our team who took part in in the Glasgow Taekwondo Association 1-2-1 competition. These events are development competitions designed to introduce students to a competitive environment in a friendly atmosphere. Everyone who took part put in a fantastic performance, well done!

Our class times on a Saturday have changed slightly from July. As we now have access to the full hall for part of the time on Saturdays we have changed the class times to provide a more efficient class schedule and it will also allow us to trial a specific sparring class for the first time.

The new class times are as follows

Saturday

9.45-10.15          Tot kwon do

10.15-11.15        Beginner

11.15-12.15        Intermediate and Advanced

12.15-1.15          Sparring class

Our mid week classes remain the same

Tuesday

6pm-7pm            Grading class

Thursday

6pm – 7pm          Taekwondo for all

T-shirts

If you have ordered a t-shirt they are now available for pick up. If you haven’t ordered one there are a few available for £8 and you can pick one up in class.

Black belt grading

The next black belt grading will be on the 17^th June at Caledonian Taekwondo Health and Fitness centre. There will be a seminar prior to the grading at 10am that is open to all red tags and above which is free to attend. If anyone is wishing to sit their dan grade this year or next year is advised to attend the grading.

The next grading date will be Saturday the 2^nd June at 1pm at Craigholme Sports complex. All the details of the student syllabus can be found at www.titantkd.com. Please speak to your instructor about requirements for your next grading.

Titan Tshirts

(Fingers crossed) Spring has arrived with some warmer weather, if students wish to train with their blue Titan t-shirt instead of their full dobock this is no problem. I will be putting in a new order  shortly and t-shirts cost £8 each. The sizes range from 5-6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-13, 14-15 and adults S, M & L. To order one just put down your name and size on the order sheet at class.

 

Parents Taekwondo

We offer classes to parents as well as kids. This is always offered at a discounted rate of £20 per month for unlimited classes. If you want to try out a few classes for free just pop into class and give the sport a shot. We already have a few parents why join in with our classes, why not ask them what to expect from you first class?

Class timetable

We run 3 sessions a week at Criagholme on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday mornings. Our Tuesday class is a technique and grading based class and our Thursday and Saturday classes are general TKD. If you wish to attend more than one class a week there is only a slight increase in fees and it costs £30 per month (£47 for a family membership)

If any student wishes to sit their black belt this December it is a requirement that they attend more than one class per week.

If you currently pay for one class a week and you miss your regular class feel free to drop in to an different class to make up for your missed session
