April recap Our big focus for April was agility so we had lots of jumping, throwing and catching in classes and we incorporated this in to lots of games, which was super fun! We also had Easter camps, a competition and a grading! There is lots planned for May as well, stay tunned!

It was a busy weekend for Titan! We had our monthly grading on Saturday after some busy morning classes then on Sunday we headed to the @caledonian_taekwondo_centre development day. We are having a well earned day off today and back tomorrow for our sparring session at 6pm. Well done to everyone who took part in the weekend’s events!

What do we actually do in our 2-3 year old class? This is a question I get asked a lot, how can we do TKD with such a young age group. The main focus of the class is TKD through play while developing the fundamentals of fitness like balance and agility. This warm up game “the tidy up game” is a firm favourite with this group. I make a mess and the kids run about and tidy up picking up different size objects and popping it back in the baske. We start to progress this with only picking up certain colours or shapes or go over obstacles to get to the basket. We also transition this into the start stop game where toddlers start to learn some Korean commands and pepper in some kicks and blocks. This is my two year old in the video so I am well aware that sometimes they just want to do their own thing and that’s totally fine as well. I am also aware that two year olds sometimes have their own ideas of what they want to do so for this class we have a PAYG or pay monthly system and always offer a free trial class so you can see if the club is a good fit. Our tiny tots class meets on a Saturday morning at 9am, just DM to book in a free trial or head to the events section on the website www.titantkd.com/events Also the tidy up game does not work at home…. sorry #titantaekwondo #toddlerclasses #taekwondosouthsideglasgow #taekwondoglasgow #
