Our Tot kwon do classes are aimed at pre school students aged 3&4. In these classes we work on the fundamentals of movement and start to explore Taekwondo through play. A big focus in our classes is balance and agility and we always have new classes and challenges each week for our students to explore. This is a very relaxed taekwondo class and parents are always more than welcome to work with their child in class or encourage them to work more independently. There are two Totkwondo classes a week; Thursday at 4.30 pm and Saturday at 2 pm. Its always the highlight of my week!

In the last post we highlighted how the intermediate classes will be working on terminology for the next grading. Here is a warm up game in action where students have to work together as a team to match the Korean and English words. There is a bit of an age gap with some of our students but it’s great to see the older ones help the younger students in the class! A big focus for our intermediate group on the lead up to the next grading is learning Korean terminology. I set up this little station before class last night so they can practise learning some new kicks. They did really well and we incorporated a lot of the new terminology into class, it was pretty fun as well.  The next greeting is the 26th of April at 5.30, all the details of what you need to do to achieve your next grade are on a website. #taekwondoglasgowsouthside #taekwondoglasgow #martialartsglasgow #taekwondoshawlands

The next event for the club will be the 14th April at Raw Taekwondo, 45 Deerdykes View. A test match day is a fantastic opportunity to practice with other clubs and learn competition conditions. Scoring will be done on the daedo body armours but there is also opportunities to practice refereeing and TA skills. The event will run from 12.30 – 4.30 and the cost is £20 pp, please get in touch if you wish to attend.
